In this method, a static, non-contrast scan is initially performed to locate the tumor. After contrast material is administered intravenously, a series of sequential dynamic images are obtained following specific protocols. Using advanced software, color maps of parameters such as tumor perfusion, blood flow, blood volume, etc., are created from these images.
This method provides significant contributions in the differential diagnosis and monitoring of detected masses during cancer screenings, brain tumors, liver masses, distinguishing benign and malignant tumors, cancer staging, and assessing treatment response.
